Looking for the perfect CAPTCHA

A CAPTCHA, "c ompletely to utomated p ublic T uring test to tell omputers c and h umans apart", is a test that can determine whether the user is actually

human and not a computer. These methods are used to prevent bots from using services such as writing comments or fill out the form. The use of captcha appears to be essential to prevent the proliferation of spam.

How do you judge a good captcha

Many of you think that a good captcha is the most difficult to resolve. So to make life difficult for algorithms. For those of visual type algorithms are indeed able to convert an image into a text called Optical Character Recognition.

I believe that the characteristics that make a good captchas are others, such as accessibility, easy understanding by a human, can be generated automatically, yet complex enough to be unable to be solved by algorithms also based on Artificial Intelligence.

The challenge I have set myself is the ability to create a single captcha that has these characteristics. Why do I say unique, because more and more sites using more than one authentication method in parallel as a visual captcha supported by a sound. After they realized that one of them or both fail.

SignID: an avatar as an alternative to Identicon, and MonsterID Wavatar

What is an avatar?

An avatar is an image generated uniquely identifiable from each commentator on a blog in order to associate the various comments to users. To do this can be considered the IP address, but doing so would have different avatars for the same user who commented in two sessions (with different IP), separated, or email address.

This image uniquely identifies a user, some sites allow registration and entering your avatar. This necessarily leads to the interference that can post a comment you must first have made a recording. The way to overcome this problem exists and is very simple. There are some sites, the best known is Gravatar which combines an image to a hash. The hash can be calculated from the email address of the user while the image may be a Identicon, or MonsterID Wavatar as shown.
